He is a previous winner of the solo open competitions at both Rothbury Music Festival and Morpeth Gathering. Colin is a piper in an exciting new band, the Northumberland Scottish Pipes and Drums
If you have a particular favourite tune, Colin will endeavour to play it at your event. He has 'no qualms about playing ‘novelty’ tunes.’
Colin normally wears a day-wear highland uniform, consisting of Argyll Jacket, grey waistcoat, black socks and glengarry with either the Grey Bute or mainly green Hunting Sutherland tartan kilt
'I just thought I would let you know that Colin Sutherland was excellent at the Burns Supper event on Friday night in Harrogate. He was very professional and was very happy to play, even though it was longer than anticipated due to the timings of guests arriving. He definitely added more than a touch of Scottish tradition to the night! So thank you for contacting Colin to play at the event. If we need a piper for any future events then I will definitely be in touch.' - David Smith
