Experience: Piping Hot Barn Dance & Ceilidh Band create a unique sound of an energetic Ceilidh dance/concert band combining Highland, Northumbrian and Border bagpipes, with a blend of bass and rhythmic guitar, melodoeon, concertina, flute, whistle, recorder and bodhran, in different combinations to produce a varied and exiting sound; perfect for Weddings, Ceilidh’s, Birthday’s or just a party!
The extensive experience of Paul, Les & Mike means that they can construct a programme in energetic Irish, English or Scottish style to suit any occasion.
Piping Hot Barn Dance & Ceilidh Band come with a fully professional sound & lighting system. Their ‘top-of-the-range’ sound system has 1.5kw output, allowing them to produce a really good quality sound, regardless of whether they are playing ‘quietly’ at a private party or ‘flat out’ in a large hall!
A Piping Hot evening will include foot-stomping Irish & Scottish jigs & reels, rhythmic English dance tunes, popular folk songs, haunting airs; and a rousing finale featuring the Highland Pipes, Drum & Guitar .. (keep your feet still if you can!).
Piping Hot Barn Dance & Ceilidh Band use very experienced callers who can teach beginners the basic steps, or stretch the more experienced dancers!
